Meet New VTI Board Member Molly Balunek

Editor’s Note: The VTI would not be where it is today without the support of our hardworking supporters who contribute to the VTI fundraisers. We will be spotlighting some of our contributors in our monthly blogs. This month’s spotlight will be on Molly Balunek,laureltreeadvisors.com

VTI: Thank you for joining us today, Molly. What do you do for a living?

M: I am a financial planner and investment adviser in Cleveland, Ohio. For 25 years, I have been helping clients achieve their financial goals. My business is independent and fee-only, and we act as fiduciaries, placing the client first.

VTI: What do you enjoy most about your work?

M: Getting to know people and maintaining relationships over their lifetimes is the most rewarding aspect of my work. I enjoy helping them use their money as a tool to achieve their goals, and the freedom that brings to their lives.

VTI: How did you first learn about Validation?

M: I have known Naomi Feil for many years, and she has taught me about Validation. Many clients are retired, and I work with them throughout their lives. What Naomi has taught me about Validation helps me interact with clients as they age.

VTI: What do you enjoy most about interacting with the elderly?

M: I enjoy learning about their lives and their families and everyone’s achievements. I like helping them define their legacy through their actions and involvements. It is rewarding to help clients maintain their financial independence and age gracefully.

VTI: How has Validation impacted your life?

M: Learning about Validation has helped me in the way I interact with my aging clients. This knowledge has helped me be a better advisor and build stronger relationships with clients and their families.

VTI: So, where do you live now?

M: I live in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

VTI: What do you like to do when you are not working?

M: I spend time with my family; we like to spend time outdoors and travel. I play golf, enjoy wildlife and bird watching and like to read, for business and pleasure.

Thank you, Molly, for your support!
