Drawn from Nancy Brown’s PhD research, this poster explores how a culturally adapted, Validation-informed Zoom program supported older immigrants living with advanced dementia during COVID-19.
The findings show how culture, familiar rituals, Validation Group techniques, and skilled facilitation helped participants remain socially connected, express personhood, and experience belonging—even through a screen.
